Corporate Citizenship
Accenture internal project
Accenture wanted to help non-governmental organizations (NGO) improve their skills when making use of digital resources. The work entailed research of their current practice of how they use digital resources for their performance and providing consultancies to improve this.
I was part of team which consists of several digital consultants and business design lead.
Identify current challenges
In addition to an internet search on how several NGOs are using their digital resources to achieve their mission, we conducted user researches in order to be more specific about their challenges. As part of the team I observed and analyzed interviews. Based on the raw interview material we made an affinity map and identified problem areas.
Co-design with users
We invited volunteers and employees of various NGOs and conducted a 2-day workshop. I facilitated a workshop for one of the three groups. Our group consisted of volunteers and employees of NGOs who work closely with recruiting volunteers. With a shared understanding of common challenges they face we defined a problem statement. To solve this problem we ideated possible creative solutions using digital resources available for each NGO. Upon agreement on the most attractive solution we made a storyboard and made a short video to demonstrate our idea.
The prototypes (all the three groups made a video to demonstrate their ideas) were presented in a final report together with qualitative research results on NGOs digital performance.
